Zachary Parker Sneak Peek

CARPET ONE FLOOR & HOME DONATES FLOORING INSTALLATION FOR SMART HOME

During a year-long deployment in Afghanistan in June 2012, Army medic Zachary Parker suffered injuries that resulted in the loss of his left arm, right leg, and his left leg above the knee. Now a triple amputee, he continues his rehabilitation with the support of his wife, family and friends.

Parker is a worthy recipient of a smart home built through Building for America's Bravest, a program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which provides catastrophically injured veterans like Zachary the independence they need by installing technology that makes day to day tasks, like turning on the lights, possible with the swipe of a finger on an iPad.

Zachary's house is currently in progress in his home state of Louisiana, and with the help of Jay's Carpet One Floor & Home of Deridder, LA and Beaumont Carpet One Floor & Home of Beaumont, TX who will be donating all of the flooring installation throughout the home, he and his wife have chosen the floors for their new home.

The neutral tones in Rustic River's Compton Heights hardwood in Antler, and Relax...it's Lees carpet in Crushed Ice will complement each other perfectly. Not only is this a beautiful combination, it will also be practical for Zach's needs.
